Finding Love:

Finding love is something we all are looking for in our lives. We wonder if it will happen today, tomorrow or maybe never.

Many of us go with people just to have someone in our lives. I was never that way but understand those who are as living in this world alone is not always so easy.

Spiritual Seekers know that we are never "alone" as Spirit is always with us. Sometimes we aren't always in touch with Spirit but we are never alone.

After having lived without a partner for many years, too many to count, I am happy to announce that after trusting in the process, believing in Spirit and learning to honor and love myself, I have found the love of my life, Jack Schafer, and am now engaged to him.

Love can happen. Maybe it is a timing issue or simply learning how to love oneself enough to attract the right person into our lives. Personally, I believe it was both.

Don't give up in finding love and don't settle for less either. Sometimes Spirit tests us to see if we really want what we are asking for. Trust Spirit and you will then trust yourself.

Dating in these Changing Times

Everyone is so busy with their lives that meeting people just isn't the same as it used to be. So many folks looking for love go to the Internet to find love.

There are many successfully relationships that have been founded from this. I just want to share with you that when you are looking for love, be sure and don't fall for someone just because they are nice, good looking or appear to be spiritual.

Get to know someone safely, don't rush in, keep your boundaries and most of all, keep your integrity. If someone goes into major detail about their past, it is a signal that they aren't over their deceased spouse or their ex. You don't' want to be someone who helps them mask their pain because then you really aren't loved for you, just for what you can do to help them through their pain. Being a rescuer is just part of the Cycle of Abuse.

A client of mine shared an experience where she had a date and talked with a man for over two weeks and all he talked about was his deceased wife and his "girl" friend who stayed at his house. Yet he was trying to date or at least talk to my client. Truth is, the man just needed friends to help him get over his loss, he wasn't looking for an in-depth relationship with her.

If you are having problems in your relationship, first look within and then call for help if you need to talk with a counselor. As a Spiritual Counselor, I talk with so many people who are having relationship problems. It is always safest to start with self as that is the only part of the relationship where we have control.
